Rose Etta Clinton's Obituary
Rose Etta Clinton, 69 year old Miami area resident passed away Monday, April 16th 2018.
Rose was born on December 20, 1948 in Louisiana, Missouri to Nick and Etta Jane (Daughtery) Shade. After high school she attended college at Missouri Southern State University. After graduation Rose worked as an early childhood education teacher. She retired after teaching at Quapaw Schools for 29 years. On March 2, 1968 Rose married Danny Clinton in Commerce, Oklahoma. Rose was an avid reader and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren amd great grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents Nick and Etta Jane, two brothers, Benjamin Daugherty and Roy Shade.
Rose is survived by her husband Danny of the home, two children Danny Neil Clinton and wife Kelli of Welch, Oklahoma and Shawn Renee Thomas and husband Michael of Commerce, Oklahoma, a brother Ike Shade and wife Marylin of Shawnee, Oklahoma, four sisters, Sheryl Victor and husband Randall of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma, Debbie Hunter and husband Stephe of Welch, Oklahoma, Annie Mills and husband Jerry of Welch, Oklahoma, and Sandy Roseberry and husband Mark of Oologah, Oklahoma, mother in law Etta Wallace and a family friend she thought of as a son David Dean.
Rose is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian Snow, Cody Thomas, Jaci Clinton, Mason Clinton, Joseph Clinton, and two great grandchildren Bryley Snow and Gauge Snow, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral Services for Rose will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday April 20, 2018 at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday April 19, 2018.
