Bob took me for my first plane ride when I was about 14 in Tacoma, WA where he was then stationed. He was a great mentor with my flying career of now about 50 years. Bob and his beautiful wife Remonna and his kids were long time family close friends of my parents and family. We also went to Washington DC for a visit when was stationed there. I just talked to him about a year and I am quite diffused. He was a great man. And I will miss Bob immensely.

I've known Bob ever since his wife, Ramona, came onto the Wyandotte Nation Board. He flew us wherever we needed to go, didn't want paid, just loved flying. He became a great friend to me and was always there to help anytime. Bob was a great guy and will be missed. Earlene Roskob

Bob was an inspiration to me and a long lasting friend and mentor. We began our journey as members of the commissioning crew of the USCGC Rush. He then began teaching me how to fly an aerobatic traildragger while we were stationed in Alameda. We were fortunate to see each other throughout the years and finally when the Rush was decommissioned in Hawaii.

Bob and I were part of the original crew of the USCGC RUSH, a 378-foot Coast Guard cutter, in 1969. As a Senior Chief Petty Officer, Bob set an example of leadership for the crew and earned respect from the Captain on down. I was a junior chief petty officer. Bob was both shipmate and mentor to me. We were in contact by phone after we were both retired. Bob was an accomplished pilot and inspired me to become a private pilot. Before serving in RUSH, we were both assigned to duty in Washington, DC, although we did not meet there. Although we had never met while in DC, we each bought a 1966 Cadillac coupe and brought them to California. We loved those cars. Bob will forever be missed. I wish him favorable winds and following seas.

Mr. Reid, you will be greatly missed. Your support and involvement in our Camp Fire group is greatly appreciated. I will forever remember the RR vehicle, flights in Big Bear, camping out on the Wyandotte property, hearing you say “little lady “ and you coming to our rescue when our Pinto caught on fire. And no one can tie a knot as lightning fast and with as much grace as you. I love you and Ramona’s love story. Thank you for being a big part of my and so many others lives. You have left us all better because of your caring.
