Randy Jones' Obituary
Randy L. Jones, 43, of Fairland, Oklahoma ended his watch on November 26, 2015 at his home. Randy was born February 12, 1972 to David Lee and Ruby Ann (Burnside) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dusty Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Thulin Jones, of the home. Three sons, Riley Thulin and wife Jade, of Miami, Oklahoma, Matthew Jones and Cameron Jones of Fairland. One granddaughter, Elliott Thulin, who was the light of her Poppy’s life. Two brothers, Jerry Jones and wife Nickie of Fairland, Rick Jones and wife Kristy of Rolfe, Iowa, and one sister, Angie Schulte and husband Mike of Miami. Roy and Billie Blizzard of Fairland. Derric, Hannah, Grant, Sam, and Addilyn Lollar of Fairland. Several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy’s proudest achievement was his career in law enforcement. Randy was a Corporal with the Eastern Shawnee Tribal Police Department. Randy also served as a Deputy with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Randy is survived by a multitude of brothers and sisters in blue with whom he was honored to serve.
Randy was a hard worker and excellent provider for his family. The message Randy wanted most to share with his friends and loved ones was to cherish the time you have, no one is promised tomorrow. Material possessions are not as important as creating lasting memories with your family. In Randy’s memory we ask that you hug your kids a little harder, kiss your spouse a little longer, and make sure your loved ones know that they are loved.
Services were held November 28, 2015 at Liberty Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma. Internment followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma. Pallbearers were Derric Lollar, Dustin Conard, Matthew Messbarger, Mike Baker, Aaron Bachman, T.J. Brewster, Matthew Jones, and Cameron Jones. Honorary Pallbearers were Tony Wiseley, Jack Crossley, Butch Crockett, and Patrick “Rick” Warner. Services were under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
