As you all of our family loved Bob and loved having him help in harvest, going to church with us. Never forget the way he could make the piano dance across the floor when he played it. And his trumpet could call the angels down. He will be missed by so many. Right now he has ended his journey on earth, but, is just beginning his journey in heaven where he will see you all again.

Uncle Bob Williams was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, both family history and his childhood hometown of Alton, Kansas. I tapped into that knowledge many, many times and always received the immediate answers that I needed. My mother Laura, Bob's only (and older) sister loved all of her eight brothers equally, but Bob was the one she could always count on to remember her birthday and to minister to her in times of family sorrow and tragedy. Bob kept the Williams family connected. In 1982, he turned his siblings' failing round robin letter into a successful monthly newsletter that he copied and snail mailed. In 1995, he handed the reins over to another family member and today it reaches several generations of Williams descendants who are scattered across the USA. Bob never met a stranger (a Williams' trait); he cared deeply and shared his many gifts and talents with all. His "joie de vivre" and laughter made everyone want to be around him. I loved "Uncle" dearly and am thankful for all the times that I got to spend with him. I witnessed enough of his work here on earth to know that his reward in heaven shall be great!
