James L. Belcher II's Obituary
James L Belcher II, 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Integris Miami Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1949, in Oak Harbor, Washington to James L. the first and Caroline (Johnson) Belcher. He was a member of the Wardog Class of 1967. Mr. Belcher was a proud United State Marine Corp Veteran. He worked as a door gunner and crew chief. He worked at Goodrich and then Perelli before starting his woodworking company Sander Manufacturing where he built wood products for Hobby Lobby, he later worked for the State of Oklahoma Unemployment as the VA Representative until his retirement. Jim had a love for flying, he had his private pilot’s license and served on the Miami Airport Authority Board.
Jim was preceded in passing by his parents, James and Caroline Belcher and a sister Barbara Yeager.
Survivors include his wife Susie Belcher of the home, his children Julee Jones (Mitch) of Jenks, Phillip Belcher (Amy) of Claremore, Jenny Ragsdale (Shane) of Grove, Cyndi Belcher (Shari) of Miami, Brian Belcher (Mandy) of Collinsville and Zack Benbrook of Grove, his sisters Jeanie Cox (Mike) of Tulsa, Lou Ann Batchlear of Oklahoma City, and his brother Danny Belcher (Nancy) of Fayetteville, along with his grandchildren Blake Ragsdale (Jaycee), Brendan Ragsdale, Addy Jones, Haley Jones, Weston Jones, Maverick Belcher, Xiona Belcher, Xander Belcher and Jeremiah Barnett. Also surviving, his mother-in-law Lois McIntosh.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
