Damon Alan Jones, 66, of Commerce, Okla., passed away early Wednesday morning, September 29th, 2021, at Freeman West in Joplin, MO, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 18th, 1955 in Ft. Hood, Texas to Albert L. and Read Obituary
I worked with Damon for years at the post office, both as a clerk and as a carrier. He was a good union man and a good guy. I'm sorry he had so many serious health problems, but he seemed to power through pretty well. The last time I talked with him he didn't complain, just dealt with it all. Hope his family is doing well, and they all should know what a good man he was.
I never met Damon, but I always wanted to you see my daughter worked at the Joplin post office with him. About nine years ago she put the word out that I was looking for a little dog, preferably a Yorky. My little Cooper belong to a lady on Damon‘s route. The lady was wanting to get rid of him, he called CHANTEL, she called me, I made the connection And went over and got Cooper that very same day. I have always been grateful to him. God bless him.
