Zoleta Mildred Shamblin's Obituary
Zoleta Mildred Shamblin, 88, of Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Monday, November 21st, 2022, at Miami Nursing Center, where she had resided since 2018.
She was born August 22nd, 1934 in Wyandotte, Okla. to Wilva (Brown) and Paul F. Anderson. She married Raymond Shamblin on December 19th, 1950. He preceded her in death in August of 1998.
She lived, worked, and raised her children in Miami, Okla., before moving to rural Bluejacket. She was the owner/operator of Discovery Land Daycare in Miami. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Senior Companion before retiring. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, antiquing, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother, Delbert Anderson, sister Wanda Hartman, son in law, Brian Lee, daughter in law, Hellen Shamblin, granddaughter, Sara Shamblin, and great grandson Melvin Shamblin.
Left to share in her memory include her three sons, Rick Shamblin of rural Bluejacket, Phillip Shamblin and wife Reta of rural Bluejacket, Don Shamblin of Miami; a daughter, Zoleta Lee of Ft. Bragg, CA; grandsons, Jason Shamblin (whom she and Raymond raised), Phillip Darrell Shamblin, Rick Snell, Trevor Shamblin and wife Samantha, and Jeremiah Munavu; granddaughters, Tonya King and husband Troy, Rashell Shamblin, Jacinta Munavu, Kasey Burkybile and husband Rob, and Akili Munavu; a host of great and great great grandchildren; a brother, George Anderson and wife Wanda of Stockton, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 25th, 2022, at the Bluejacket Cemetery. Pastor Wes Davis will officiate.
