Wilma Beatrice Smith's Obituary
Wilma Beatrice Smith, 93, of Afton, OK, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Chetopa Manor, Chetopa, KS. She was born February 25, 1920 in Welch, OK to William and Elizabeth (Nall) Spunaugle. She attended Grandview and Prairie View Rural Schools. She was married to Clarence Bump for several years. The couple made their home in Welch where they raised their sons, Darrel and Sam. She worked as a machine operator for Burlington for 10 years. She later worked for TRW Cinch for 6 years. Clarence preceded her in death in 1988. On October 20, 1990, Wilma married Kenneth Smith in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death after 15 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Kenneth Albert Bump; 3 Brothers, Johnny, Clifton, and Dewey Spunaugle; 6 Sisters, Lucinda Goad, Edith Garde, Jessie Polson, Mary Seitz, Nora Green, and Minnie McClure. She is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Darrel and Connie Bump of Oswego, KS, and Sam and Linda Bump of Afton, OK; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Welch City Cemetery, Welch, OK. Interment following.
