William Lee Turner's Obituary
Retired contractor, William Lee Turner, 68, Commerce, OK, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his home. He was born to William Logan and Mary (Seaton) Turner. He was a graduate of Commerce High School, Class of 1963. On April 3, 1965, he married Vicki Haynes in Commerce. He was active in his community, serving on the Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce. Mr. Turner was a talented wood worker. He enjoyed building, crafting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his wife Vicki; 1 son, William Lee Turner, Jr. and his wife Christy of Miami; 1 daughter, Lisa Paxon and husband James of Baxter Springs, KS; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 sisters, Phyllis Smith and husband Jim of Commerce, Janie King and husband Lonnie of Miami, and Jewell Mae Barker and her husband Joe of Afton; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK.
