William Lenn Qualls' Obituary
William Lenn Qualls, 58, a resident of Miami passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born October 8, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma to Buster and Neva (Martin) Qualls. He is a retired Veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed in many places around the world including Germany, Italy, Spain, Panama and England. He was in the Army from 1980 until 1994 when he retired. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, the Seventh Special Forces Group, he was a Special Forces group Master Parachutist, a Jump Master, a sniper, Weapons Specialist, an H.A.L.O. Jumper, a Winter Warfare Specialist and instructor and Green Beret. At his retirement he was a Sergeant First Class. Mr. Qualls was preceded in passing by his father Buster Qualls.
Survivors include his Mother Neva Qualls of Columbus, Kansas, his wife Rose (Taylor-Surratt) Qualls of the home, his children Jennifer Qualls and Hunter Qualls both of Wisconsin, two granddaughters Sammi Jo and Langston and two brothers Robert Qualls of Idaho and Doug Qualls of Columbus, Kansas.
Services are on 2:00 PM Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Gazebo at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami. Services are in the care of the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. American Legion Post #147 in Miami will be providing Military Honors.
