Wanda Mae Hickam's Obituary
Wanda Mae Hickam, 73, of Miami, OK, passed away November 19, 2015 at Windridge Nursing in Miami after a long illness. She was born December 11, 1941 in Greeley, CO to Gerald Porter and Clorien (Karch) Porter. She was a graduate of Channel View High School in Channel View TX. She worked a number of years in the accounting department at Stockyard Bank of St. Louis, MO. She also worked several years for the Fairmont Race Track. She was a senior companion in Ottawa County, OK for 14 years. She was also a member of the Mound Valley Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ken Franklin Lear, Jr.; one granddaughter, Samantha Jean Lear; and one sister, Rosemary Maness. Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Harold Hickam, of the home in Miami; one brother, Robert Porter and wife Rosemarie of Cyprus, TX; one granddaughter, Shannon Lynn Lear of O"Fallon, IL; and three sisters, Judy Morris of Claremont, IL, Carolyn Kinman of Galston, TX, and Pat Kizziah of Denver, CO; and two sister in laws. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch, OK. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fairview Heights, IL. Reverend Greg Pratt will officiate at the graveside. Services entrusted to the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK.
