Vonia Jo Hale's Obituary
Vonia Jo Hale, 71, a resident of Quapaw, Oklahoma passed away at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Mrs. Hale was born on July 13, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, her parents were Ralph and Sammie (Caddell) Clouse. Vonia worked as a waitress and managed different food service locations. She worked in food service and hospitality for many years and enjoyed feeding large groups of people. Vonia was proud of her children and grandchildren, she had a sense of humor and like to make people blush. Mrs. Hale was a bit of a nomad; she liked to travel and moved several times through her life. She had even moved to China for a couple of years to teach English there. In her quiet time, she could be found playing computer games or reading a book.
Vonia was preceded in passing by her parents Ralph and Sammie Clouse.
Survivors include her children Thomas Eighmy and his wife Orawan of Quapaw, Robert Mackey and his wife Angie of Manford, Oklahoma, and Connie Vaughn, her grandchildren are Tyler Mackey and his wife Jessie, Kaleb Mackey and his wife Paige, Kaity Mackey and her wife Kay, Jacob Mackey and his wife Maddie, Hannan Mackey, Joni Brewer and her husband Skyler, Dakota Mackey, View Eighmy, Nicholas Eighmy and Ralph Michael Eighmy, her great grandchildren Gracen Mackey, Kinsleigh Mackey, Peyton Mackey, John Mackey, Elijah Mackey, her brother James Hale and sister Jan Caddell.
Mrs. Hale’s wishes were to be cremated. Cremation services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton, Oklahoma.
