Veta Dean Williams' Obituary
Veta Dean Williams, 83, a longtime Miami resident went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Veta was born on January 11, 1935 in Zena, Oklahoma to Vernon and Cloe Veta (Revels) Harnar. She graduated with the Class of 1953 from Wyandotte High School. She married the love of her life Donald Williams on September 25, 1955 in Miami. She loved her family and really enjoyed cooking and baking. Veta’s parents Vernon and Cloe Harnar preceded her in passing along with a son Douglas Wayne Williams, two baby sisters and a grandson Eric Stephens.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years Donald Williams of the home, her daughters Beverly Gay Stephens of Joplin, Teresa Lynn Stewart and her husband Tommy of Miami and Cynthia D. Krider of Miami, her siblings, Phyllis Campbell of Miami, Darlene Myrick and her husband Gary of Solomon, Kansas and Donnie Harnar and his wife Linda of Miami, her grandchildren Kevin D. Bland, Matthew W. Bland, April Fallis and her husband Tony, Darren Fleming and his wife Kristian, Ryan Stewart and his wife Kelsey, Joshua Mark Nowlin and his wife Tracie and Brittany Daniel Nowlin, along with her great grandchildren, Johnna Fallis, Anthony Curtis Fallis Jr., Ettalyn Rose Fallis, Keagen Fleming, Rilynn Stewart, Jaren Stewart, Easton Stewart, Kalynn Fleming, Mercedes Nowlin and Keanu Nowlin.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services are 10:00 AM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Long Assembly of God with Reverend Mike Younger officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Casketbearers will be Kevin Bland, Matthew Bland, Tony Fallis, Darren Fleming, Ryan Stewart, Joshua Nowlin and Brittany Nowlin.
