Vernon was a great individual that always seemed to have a smile on his face. He was a terrific 5th grade science teacher. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Me. Siler was my 5th grade teacher the year of the OKC bombing. I remember the day the school had a memorial moment for it. He stood still, eyes closed, and then I noticed that he wiped at his eyes and sniffed. Sometimes I thought he was tough but that day I saw a softer side of him. I later learned that his daughter was in that building the day before. He cared about his students and his family. He will be missed.
Vernon was our teaching partner for many,many years. Vernon ,Lee Christie and I played golf every chance we had. Fond Memories.Vernon is now without pain. Iam so glad of that. Miss you already friend!!

5th grade was my favorite year of grade school. Mr. Siler was my home room teacher. He always made it a good day 😊 A GREAT teacher he was! 😃
