Travis Eugene Cook's Obituary
Travis Eugene Cook, 76, of Mulberry, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, March 6, 2019 in Girard, Kansas, after an illness.
He was born October 13, 1942 in Quapaw, Okla. to Leroy Winfield Cook and Hazel Lorene (Huston) Cook. He was married to the former Caroline Jones. He worked over 30 years as a machinist for Honeywell building aircraft parts. In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing slot machines. He was a member of the All Faith Church in Mulberry. He served his country in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Elvis Eugene Cook, a brother, Joseph Cook, and a sister, Nancy Bawley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Caroline, of the home; a son, Jerome Winfield Cook of Mulberry; 3 brothers, James Roy Cook of Miami, Okla., Raymond Eugene Cook of Columbus, KS, William Silas Cook of Rogers, AR; 3 sisters, Celia Simmons of Oswego, KS, Flora Morgan of Vinita, OK, and Ruth Anna Woolman of Oswego, KS; 2 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Church, Seneca, MO with Pastor Randy Coulter officiating. Burial will follow in the Swars Prairie Cemetery.
