Tootie Chaney's Obituary
Carol Sue "Tootie" Chaney, 72, of Welch, OK, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at St. John Hospital in Owasso, OK after an illness. She was born March 5, 1944 in Coffeyville, KS to Pat Kinnison and Dorothy (Graves) Kinnison. Tootie was well known in the Welch community for her genuine love of children. Her infectious caring attitude and spirit was evident to all that knew her. She worked a number of years at Wal-Mart until illness forced her to slow down. She loved to spend time with her family. Watching her grandchildren play sports was her greatest passion. She also loved shopping and attending services at the Welch Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. On September 1, 2016, she celebrated 50 years of marriage to her husband, Garry Chaney, the love of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents. Tootie is survived by her husband, Garry, of the home; 3 daughters, Rhonda Woodard and husband Tim of Owasso, OK, Debbie Barnes of Tulsa, OK, and Tanna McClure, also of Tulsa; one son, Jeff Chaney and wife Stephanie of Welch, OK; 2 sisters, Patty Crowe of Owasso, and Cindy Woodworth of Commerce, OK; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Welch Baptist Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 also at the church. Pastor Bob Whitchurch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Cameron Compton, Travis McClure, Cordell Barnes, Keith Stowe, Kevin Roberts, Brett Woodard, and Kasey Crowe.
