Carol Leuthold
Sending hugs for my cousins, Shirley and Kaye. My memories are almost as old as we three grandmothers must be by now. However, they are still as vivid as if it were yesterday! I was 12 years old when my parents loaded us kids into our Nash Rambler and drove from the Oregon Coast to Missouri to visit the grandparents. I was lucky enough to get to stay at Aunt Thelma's home for the duration of our visit. Spending precious time with cousins, Dianna, Shirley, and Kaye, whom I hadn't known, but I was made welcome. I remember getting doughnuts and milk for breakfast at Aunt Thelma's; what a treat! And, playing miniature golf, and experiencing my first ever cherry coke...still don't like them! These may seem trivial nothings to most folks, but the love and acceptance I received at Aunt Thelma's that summer have lasted a lifetime!
