Tami Lynn McKeon's Obituary
Tami Lynn (Rigdon) McKeon, 65, of Welch, OK, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, early Thursday morning, April the 2nd, 2026.
She was born July the 7th, 1960, in Bartlesville, OK to Glenn Rigdon and Kathleen Kay (Quiett) Rigdon. She graduated from College High School in Bartlesville with the 1978 graduating class. She attended OSU and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in geography.
Tami worked over 20 years for Grand Gateway Economic Development Association. She wrote numerous grants so towns could receive additional funding to complete much needed infrastructure upgrades. She also wrote the grant that allowed the much-needed update to the Coleman Theatre in Miami, OK, a task she was extremely proud of.
She was a longtime member of the Welch Methodist Church. She enjoyed the lasting relationships she made with her neighbors, friends, and family. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren, listening to music, gaming, eating out, bargain hunting, and antiquing. She was a member of the Welch XI ETTA ALPHA Sorority.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Spence Rigdon; and her stepdad, Jack Horn.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Clark McKeon, of the home; three children, Emma McKeon of Webb City, MO, Austin McKeon and wife Victoria of Ft. Worth, TX, and Dalton McKeon of Bixby, OK; five siblings, Shelley Purdum of Oolagah, OK, Travis Rigdon of Bartlesville, OK, Melissa Parchman of Tulsa, OK, Steve Campbell of Bartlesville, OK, and Kim Bentley of Bartlesville, OK; her grandchildren, Laura McKeon, Kanaan McKeon, and another on the way, Nora McKeon; her stepmother, Phyllis Rigdon; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Wednesday, April the 8th, 2026, at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch. From 5-7 p.m., Tami's celebration will continue at the Coleman Theatre Ballroom to remember Tami's life and accomplishments.
