Sue Marie Evinger's Obituary
Sue Marie Evinger, 68, of Welch, OK, passed early Monday morning, August 24, 2015 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, OK after a sudden illness. Sue was born in Tulsa, OK on August 21, 1947 to Howard Raymond Lary and Meta Emma (Schubert) Lary. She was a graduate of Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, OK. Sue married Romeyn Leroy "Bud" Baker. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1999. In July of 2000, Sue married Gaylen Evinger. Six weeks later, he passed away after a sudden illness. She loved to read, scrap book, crochet, and make wedding afghans for her family. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church in Welch. She cherished the time she spent in her Sunday School class. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors. Along with her parents and two husbands, Sue is preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Sue in survived by one daughter, Cathryn Greene and husband, Scott of Claremore, OK, 3 grandchildren, Alyssa, Cheyenne, and Makinsey Greene also of Claremore, as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Living Hope Baptist Church in Welch with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tyson Wynn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Scott Greene, Tom Chesnutt, Bob Holland, Kenneth Weaver, Jason Etzel, and Lyle Wright. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to help offset burial expenses.
