Steven Eugene Bruner's Obituary
Steven Eugene Bruner, 64, a lifetime area resident, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born on January 16, 1962, in Afton, Oklahoma, to Robert “Bob” and Lela (Thomas) Bruner. Steven was a truck driver. Most recently, he worked for Ottawa County for sixteen years. Mr. Bruner enjoyed being outside, fishing, hunting deer, and guns and motorcycles. Steven was preceded in passing by his parents Bob and Lela Bruner and a great-granddaughter, Linda Coleene Grube.
Those who will share the memories of Steven are his wife Vicki Bruner of the home, his children Michael Grube and his wife Ruth of Kansas City, Missouri, Dena Hardin and her husband Eddie of Bluejacket, Andrew Bowden of Bluejacket, Donya Simmons and her husband Kevin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kenna Simmons of Bluejacket and Beth Manis of Tulsa, his grandchildren Matthew, Tatum, John, Caden, Kylee, Marshall, Jake, Stevie, Ariat, Tayler, Walker, Ashton, James, Luz “Lucy”, one great grandchild, his brother Ernie Bruner, Atoka, Oklahoma, one sister Mary Lawson of Cleora, Oklahoma and a son-in-law David Huddleson.
Steven's Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Welch. (Formerly Thomas & Chenoweth) Interment will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton.
Casketbearers will be Matthew Huddleston, Marshall Huddleston, Caden Story, Jake Manis, John Hardin, and Zack Lawson.
