Shirley Elaine Williams' Obituary
Shirley Elaine Williams, 64, of Bluejacket, OK passed away July 31st, 2013 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born December 4th, 1948 at Camp Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Jack H. and Leyda (Possenti) Remund. Shirley was a cook for the Bluejacket Public Schools for a number of years. She was also a member of the Bluejacket Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving grandmother and her two granddaughters were her life. On October 30th, 1974, Shirley married John Williams in Miami, OK. He survives of the home. Shirley is also survived by her son, Johnny Williams of Vinita, OK, two granddaughters, Georgia Ruckman and Cadence Williams, both of Vinita, OK, her mother and step-father, Leyda and Phillip Bryant of Owasso, OK, and one brother, Charles Remund, of Catoosa, OK. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Jack H. Remund and one brother, Donald Remund. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Welch from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4th, 2013. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5th, 2013 at the Bluejacket Cemetery. Pastor Gordon Hatcher will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a donation can to made to a charity of choice in memory of Shirley.
