Feel so blessed to have known you, miss you heaps Sheryl!

Today is one year since Sheryl A. McCoy passed away.
On December 13, 2024, the world lost a truly special soul, Sheryl Ann McCoy. Beyond her deep love for family and community, Sheryl was a generous colleague and collaborator in the online education and conference world. I had the privilege of presenting alongside her many times, and each experience was enriched by her warmth, insight, and unwavering professionalism. She had a gift for making virtual spaces feel welcoming and alive, and her encouragement lifted so many of us. Sheryl’s legacy is not only in the knowledge she shared but in the kindness and spirit of collaboration she embodied. I will miss her presence deeply, but I carry forward the lessons she taught me about connection, resilience, and generosity. May her memory continue to inspire all who knew her.
♥️

Dear Sheryl, you are missed by your online community at Integrating Technology with Dr Nellie and your online collaborator Nives. Every day I want to send an email or click on the call button to have a chat, we would spend hours chatting about everything ... personal lives, pedagogy, teaching online, teaching in person, surpassing the dreaded pandemic and mostly preparing for our online sessions - Webinars - I miss you 💝, nives

I have been friends with Sheryl for many years. We met at a basketball game in the late '80's at Humboldt High School. We were later members of the same FCE group, Leamona, in Chanute. I became friends with Dena and Jon, and worked with Sheryl at the Erie Fair doing Check-in for Open Class for several years. Sheryl never met a stranger, and has always been so friendly and caring. She will be missed by so many! Dena and Jon, my thoughts and prayers have been with you through Sheryl's illness.
