Sherri Lynn Vanatta's Obituary
Sherri Lynn Vanatta, 53, of rural Welch, Okla., passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, October 13th, 2021, at Integris Miami Hospital.
She was born March 13th, 1968 in Vinita, Okla. to Billy W. and Karen (Tanner) Seigel. She was a graduate of Welch High School. She later attended Flight Attendant school in Tulsa. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church.
She was married to Stephen Craig Vanatta, and they made their home north of Welch.
She was a true friend to so many. She was talented in painting, baking, and gardening. Her talents were evident when she was often called upon to paint the store front windows of Main Street businesses in Welch. She was also called upon often to bake wedding cakes. Her flower gardens at her home were admired by everyone.
She was so proud of her children and enjoyed them to the fullest. She also dearly loved her grandchildren and treasured every moment she had with them.
She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen; three children, Crystal Farmer of Welch, Kalli Farmer of Miami, and Dexter Farmer and wife Natalie of Vinita, and five step children, Daniel Vanatta of Miami, Travis Garner of Miami, Kristy Gilman and husband Donovan of Welch, Tia Kebert and husband Jacob of Mound Valley, KS, and Traci Reed; her brother, Stacey Seigel and wife JJ of Welch; her mother, Karen Seigel of Welch; and three grandchildren, Troy, Belle and Everly Farmer; 16 step grandchildren; a niece, Torey Seigel of Welch; and a nephew, Trenton Seigel of Welch.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, at the Walker Cemetery, northwest of Welch. Pastor Vernon Scott will officiate.
