Sharon Kay Peck's Obituary
Sharon Kay Peck, of Miami, OK, passed away Friday morning, June the 30th, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old.
She was born September the 18th, 1957 in Miami to James Walter "Dub" Peck and Dorothy Lorrain (Jonsson) Peck. They preceded her in death. Sharon was their only child and they raised her on a farm east of Miami. She was a graduate of Wyandotte High Schools Class of 1975. She was member of the First Christian Church in Miami.
Sharon began college in 1977 attending NEO A&M College in Miami. She then attended OSU in Stillwater where she earned a degree in Business Administration. She worked for Wallace and Owens Law Firm as a Paralegal, for NEO A&M College, MAPCO Oil Company, and Williams Companies in both Houston, TX and Tulsa, OK, where she eventually retired. She then returned to Miami to live in the country.
She played the piano for school functions, band, and church. She was an active member of 4-H and became an inductee in the 4-H Hall of Fame. She enjoyed showing cattle and was active in rodeos and she deeply loved horses.
She is survived by her beloved Aunt, Lavern Robinson of Miami; a very special cousin, Carolyn Schubert Minson and husband Ronnie; her dog, Noah; additional cousins, and a host of special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Christian Church, 2424 North Main Miami, OK 74354, or to a Humane Society of your choice.
Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Miami at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July the 5th, 2023. Danny Garner will officiate and Carolyn Garner will give the eulogy. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Seneca, Missouri Cemetery.
