Sandra Joan Duvall's Obituary
Sandra Joan Duvall, 82, of rural Welch, Okla., passed away late Saturday evening, January 2, 2021, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Joan was born February 26, 1938 in rural Welch to Robert Clifton Deacon and Francis Irene (McKinzie) Deacon. She was married to Cherie Duvall until his passing on April, 9, 2013. For several years, she owned a craft store in Edmond, OK.
She loved living in the country. She was active in gardening in the spring and summer, raising her own vegetables. She also loved embroidery, crafting, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cherie; and her parents.
She is survived by four daughters, Jackie Edens of rural Welch, Cathey Martin of Norman, OK, Debbie Dickmeyer of Hertford, S.C., and Sherry Duvall Coday of Kiefer, OK; a sister, Becky Deacon of Valley Park, MO; a brother, Owen Ray Deacon of Centennial, CO; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family is honoring Joan's wishes that no formal services be held. She will be laid to rest beside Cherie in the Welch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Joan's memory to the Welch Public School Enrichment Foundation c/o Welch State Bank P.O. Box 129 Welch, OK 74369.
