Samuel "Sam" Gene Beaty's Obituary
Former Welch, Oklahoma graduate, Samuel "Sam" Gene Beaty, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away November 6, 2012 in Doniphan, after a sudden illness. He was 33 years old. Sam was born February 26, 1979 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Ronnie Lee and Wendy (Chenoweth) Beaty. He was a graduate of Welch High School, Class of 1997. He was also a graduate of NEO A&M College in Miami, and Mid-American Christian University with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. While in college, he worked for Eastern State Hospital in Vinita for five years and Buffalo Run Casino in Miami for 2 years. After graduating, he worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for the Custer National Forest for two years, while living in Laurel, Montana. He then transferred to the Mark Twain National Forest in Doniphan, Missouri where he was currently working. He married Stephanie Garrett on May 22, 1999 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. From their union came two beautiful boys, Nathan "Nate" and Landon. Sam was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed demo derbys, gambling, working on the old International Pickup and being with his wife and kids. He also loved being a Law Enforcement Officer, so he could bust the bad guys. He will be greatly missed. Sam was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Beaty, on April 22, 2012, Grandfather, Don Chenoweth, Grandmother, Eula May Beaty, and Grandfather, Eugene Beaty. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; 2 sons, Nathan "Nate" and Landon Beaty, of the home; his mother, Wendy Beaty of Welch; 2 sisters, Brandy Garboni of Claremore, and Cassie Beaty of Miami; Grandmother Betty Chenoweth of Welch; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of friends. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the First Christian Church of Miami. Minister Brad Canham will officiate. Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers. Sam will be layed to rest near his father at the Walker Cemetery, West of Welch.
