Sammie Lee Brock's Obituary
Sammie Lee Brock (currently of Bristow, OK.) a previous longtime Ottawa County resident, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. at the age of 77-years.
Sammie was born on January 14, 1943 in Pampa, TX. and was raised in Miami, OK. by her loving parents, Menzo and Ruby (Dean) Beehler. She graduated from Miami High School in 1961 and retired from TRW Cinch, Vinita, OK. in 2008. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandkids. She enjoyed crocheting for her family, playing games on her Kindle, and connecting with her family and friends on Facebook.
Sammie is survived by her two daughters, Tammie (Brock) Pound and husband, Don of Bristow, OK. and Debbie (Brock) Smith also of Bristow, OK. Four grandchildren: Trevor Pound, Jason Pound and wife Audrey Paige, Malisa Arnold and husband Randal, and Cory Smith, all of Bristow, OK. She is also survived by her brother, Irvin and wife Dixie Beehler of Miami, OK. Great-grandchildren: Oakley Plum, Tessa, Landon, and Abel Arnold, and Asher Doyle Pound (due April 2020) all of Bristow, OK. Nieces/nephews: Andrea and husband Brad Harrison, of Moore, Ok., Shera and husband Corey Taylor, of Branson, MO., Bryant Beehler of Joplin, MO., Arthur Jr. and wife Deanne Morgan of Afton, OK., and Susan and husband Stephen Boyd, of Afton, OK. Great-nieces/nephews: Hannah, Paige, and Cooper Harrison, Grant, Graysen, Garren, Gillian, and Griffin Taylor, Brad and wife Cody Morgan, Keri and husband Chey Ramsey, Holly and husband Antonio Martinez, and Jordan and wife Kylee Boyd. Great-great nieces/nephews: Garrett Morgan, Ziya Martinez, Eli Boyd, Carter and Dawson Ramsey.
Sammie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Harley and Jeanie Dean, Earl and Tiny Beehler and a son-in-law Dan Smith.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sammie’s name to the American Legion Post #141 (2141 Hwy 88, Claremore, OK 74017).
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Brown Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, OK. Graveside service for Sammie will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Seneca Cemetery in Seneca, MO. Notes of encouragement for the family may be left at www.brown-winters.com.
