Ruth Deal's Obituary
Gertrude "Ruth" Deal, 93, of Commerce, OK, passed away August 9, 2015 at Eastwood Manor, Commerce. She was born February 17, 1922 in Hazen, North Dakota to Alex and Emma (Uhl) Buchmann. Ruth was an avid gardener. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and spending time with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Larry DeSilva; 1 daughter, Bonnie Moreland; 9 siblings; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Tom; Children, Terry DeSilva of Commerce, Emma Garoutte of Miami, Dale DeSilva of Seneca, MO, Denny DeSilva of Rural Miami; 5 step-children; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Eddie and Elmer Buchmann; 1 sister, Lillian Schmidt, all of Washington State; and a host of friends. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce. Pastor Ed McFall will officiate. Family will serve as casket bearers. Interment in Williams Timberhill Cemetery, West of Miami, OK.
