Russell Loren Ginther's Obituary
Russell Loren Ginther, 74, a resident of Fairland passed away at his home on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born on November 8, 1949 in Miami, Oklahoma to Merle Edward and Goldie Isabell (Morgan) Ginther. Russell moved to Kansas and then later to Colorado. He would work as a welder for many years and helped build the Chatfield Dam in Littleton, Colorado. He was also a police officer for the town of Elizabeth, Colorado. Russell was proud to have served his country for four years as a United States Marine, and was a proud member of the Methodist Church. Russell moved back to Oklahoma in 1995. For twenty years he raised chickens, ducks, ginnies, and geese. He was a proud father of two boys. Russell will always be remembered as a great son, brother, father, uncle, great uncle, and great-great uncle. Russell is preceded in passing by his parents Merle and Goldie Ginther, his ex-wife Janis Ginther, his sister Deborah McGaffie.
Surviving Mr. Ginther includes his sons, Edward Ginther and his wife Trish of Colorado, Daniel Ginther of Colorado, grandsons, Hudson and Vincent Ronzani, sister, Joyce Hickam and her husband Harold of Miami. Nieces include Joye Knight and her husband David, Charlene Abbott and her husband Michael, Jeni Frieze and her husband Brent, great nieces include Morgan Knight and her husband Christian, McKenzie Witte, Haylee Cruze, Ashlee Stabrava and her husband Aaron, Autumn Ball, Sadie Barrus and her husband Ben, JoAnn Herget, and Kylie Frieze, great-great nieces include Harper Stabrava, Sofia Switch, Emily Switch, and Rainn Knight. Nephews, L. Robb Ball and his wife Wendy, Avery Ball, Joshua Ball, great-nephews, Cory Knight and his wife Sarah, Jordan Knight, Little Ricky Knight, Cody Kizer and his wife Sara, Shawn Abbott, and Tyler Frieze and his wife Victoria, two great-great nephews, Jerry Stabrava and Wayne Herget, and many other family and friends, too many to list.
There will be no services for Russell. Cremation Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
