Ruby E. Way's Obituary
Ruby Elizabeth Way, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away early Monday morning, August 19, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, after a long illness. She was 80 years old.
She was born November 14, 1938 in Welch, Okla. to Tony Dunn, Sr. and Sylvia (Pease) Dunn. She was a graduate of Welch High School. She was a former telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She loved sewing and garage sales.
On October 17, 1971, she married Harry Way. Harry passed away on March 3, 2015 after 43 years of marriage.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry; and three siblings, Tony Dunn, Jr., Virginia Coons, and Willard Dunn.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Trone and husband Dean of Miami; four sons, Dan Way and wife Leigh of Selmer, TN, Steve Way and wife Loretta of California, Terry Way of Jay, and David Way of Neosho; one brother, Otis Dunn of Broken Arrow; three sisters, Dorothy Bozarth of Alabama, Betty Forcum of Fairland, and Shirley Carpenter of Fairland; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren plus one on the way.
The family will greet friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 also at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Pastor Gary Rhoades will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Welch Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Kody Way, Arin Way, Dale Dunn, Randy Coons, Jacob Way, and Travis Carpenter. Honorary casket bearers will be Daniel Way, Harrison Way, and David Way, Jr.
