Rosalea Cole's Obituary
Rosalea Wyvana Cole, 92, of Katy, TX, formerly of Welch, OK, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 10, 2026, at Brookdale Shadow Lake in Houston, TX.
She was born May the 2nd, 1933 in Welch, OK to Otis and Dorothy (Ash) Kay. She was a high school graduate and continued her education by taking some college courses. She was married to Jesse Walker until his passing in 1970.
She worked over 30 years for Eastern State Hospital as an accountant. She was a member of the Welch Methodist Church. In her free time, she loved genealogy, painting, and reading. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Kay James; a son, David Walker, and a stillborn son, Frankie Dale Walker; a grandson, Clint James; and five siblings.
She is survived by a brother, Frank Kay; a son in law, Jesse James; two grandchildren, Taron Snyder, and Melodie Walker Ballard: five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and burial will be held at the Welch Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February the 19th, 2026. Pastor John Dorsey will officiate.
