Roger Glen Pease's Obituary
Roger Glen Pease, 72, of Welch, OK, passed away unexpectedly at his home early Wednesday morning, May the 13th, 2026, after a sudden illness.
He was born March the 22nd, 1954, in Vinita, OK to Clarence Milton Pease and Lillie Fern (Carder) Pease.
On June the 19th, 1975, he married the love of his life, Sherry Vanatta, in a ceremony held at the Maybelle Baptist Church northeast of Welch. They made their home in Welch where they raised their family. He was a member of the Maybelle Baptist Church.
For many years, he was a farmer/rancher. He loved the soil and his livestock. He loved to hunt, fish, and search for arrowheads. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Ray, Lloyd, and Carl Pease; and a son in law, Cody Mayfield.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, of the home; his children, Shawn Pease of Reserve, LA, Dustie Pease of Miami, Samantha Mayfield of Miami, and Cody Thompson of Miami; two siblings, Wayne Pease and wife Stephanie of Chetopa, KS, and Mary Byrd of Miami; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May the 16th, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch.
