Mr. Rodney Leon Farmer, 58, of Fairland, OK, died on Monday, January 29, 2024 in Hermleigh, Texas.
Mr. Farmer was born on November 24, 1965, in Merced, California to Edmond Leon and Margie Laverne (Davis) Farmer. He married Denise Quinn in 1985 and they made their home in Fairland, Oklahoma. His life was an extraordinary journey filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. As the proud owner of his own truck driving business, he also embodied the spirit of a rugged cowboy and dedicated rancher. His love for the open road and wild west cowboy style was unparalleled, and his legacy will forever be intertwined with the highways and byways he traveled. He was the epitome of a family man. His devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren knew no bounds. His love for them was as vast as the western skies. His presence was the cornerstone of countless cherished family memories. He was the life of every gathering, infusing every room with his infectious laughter and an endless stockpile of jokes. Even if the punchline was known to only him, his unwavering spirit lifted the hearts of all who knew him. His passion for culinary skills and the aroma of his barbecues will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of savoring his creations. His love for cooking brought joy and togetherness to countless family gatherings, leaving behind a legacy of flavorful memories that will continue to unite loved ones. In times of need, he was the rock upon which others could lean on. His strength and unwavering support were beacons of hope during life's most challenging moments. His legacy of resilience and fortitude will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his remarkable spirit. He is survived by his Wife, Denise Farmer, Fairland; two Daughters, Chandra Farmer, Fairland,
Milissa Valdez and husband Esequiel, Fairland, one Son, Greg Sartin, Nixa, Missouri; five Grandchildren,
Payton Farmer, Jade Valdez, Abel Valdez, Jaxon Valdez, and Fiona Sartin; and four Sisters, Diana Frazier and husband Doc, Florida, Carolyn Jordan, Miami, Oklahoma, Romona Dyer, Fairland, Lorrie Alfes, California;along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Edmond and Margie Farmer; two Sisters, Susan Farmer and Deborah Tackett; and one Brother, Eddie Leon Farmer.
There will be Celebration of Life services for Rodney 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland, Oklahoma.
