Roberta Lodena Cole's Obituary
Roberta Lodena Cole, 81, a longtime Miami resident passed away at the Seneca House in Seneca, Missouri on Friday, February 27, 2015. Mrs. Cole was born on October 25, 1933 in Miami to Fred Amos and Thelma (Ball) Witte. Roberta was a homemaker that worked at Boeing and Glenberry for short times but mostly worked on the farm and took care of her family. She and her husband Telman Monroe Cole Sr. loved to garden, she did a lot of canning and also did some sewing, crafting and needle work. Roberta’s was preceded in passing by her parents Fred and Thelma Witte, her husband Telman Monroe Cole Sr., her brothers, Glen, Paul and Amos Witte, her sisters Leota Fae Witte, and Lucille Bearpaw.
Survivors include her children Telman Monroe Cole Jr. and his wife Brenda of Miami, Debbie McBrien and her husband Curtis of Miami, Diane Fick and her husband Greg of Wellston, Oklahoma, her brother Ed Witte of Miami, her sisters, Ruby Ange of Rochester, New York, Mae Douthitt, Virginia Mahurin, Vivian Elliott all of Fairland, and Mavis Barnett of Miami. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brent McBrien, Phillip McBrien both of Miami, Kassie Patton of Tulsa, Jennifer Cole of Miami, Jaclyn Green of Miami, Nicole Bayless of Carthage and Jason Fick of Columbia, Missouri along with her great grandchildren Maddie, Mollie, Chaz, Ava, McKenzie and Mikah.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Cutting Edge Ministries in Miami, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Ottawa Indian Cemetery in Miami with Reverend Brian Gibson officiating. Services have been entrusted to Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
