Robert Leonard Neil's Obituary
Robert Leonard "Bob" Neil, a lifelong resident of Welch, OK, passed away Wednesday evening, March 11th, 2026. He was 83 years old.
He was born June 1st, 1942, in Vinita, OK to his parents, Merle and Nadine (Wilkins) Neil. He was a graduate of Welch High School. He also attended some college classes.
On December 1st, 1962, he married the love of his life, the former Patricia Parker, in a ceremony at the Welch Christian Church. They made their home in Welch where they raised their three children.
Bob was a technician for 33 years in Miami for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. After retirement, he enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and painting. He also wrote two books. He had several shelves full of trophies he won at pool tournaments.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents; a brother, Merle Neil, Jr.; and two sisters, Twyla Lathrop, and Debbie Nichols.
He is survived by three children, Rob Neil of Miami, OK, Diana Snow and husband Dave of Tulsa, OK, and Denice Neil of Oklahoma City; one brother, Greg Neil of Claremore, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 13th, 2026, at the Welch Christian Church. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Greg Highsmith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brian Callahan, Jason Kays, Kelly Smith, Jay Ratcliff, Parker Kays, and Kade Ratcliff.
