Robert "Rob" Neil Jr's Obituary
Robert “Rob” Neil, Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home in Welch, Oklahoma. He was 62 years old. He was born July 23, 1963, in Miami, Oklahoma to his parents, Robert “Bob” and Patricia (Parker) Neil.
He was a 1981 graduate of Welch High School, and attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma State University graduating with a degree in business. Rob worked primarily in the medical field, including years spent managing the Welch Residential Care Facility owned by the Neil family.
Rob was kind, funny, and sometimes ornery. He loved his family, especially hosting a party for his cousins every summer. He was a kind soul who always had time to listen to others, giving them a shoulder to lean on. He had a tremendous sense of humor and a quick wit that often led his sisters to uncontrollable laughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Patricia Neil, Grandfather C.L. Parker, Grandparents Merle and Nadine Neil, Uncle Roger Parker, Aunt Beverly and Uncle Ron Kays, Aunts Twyla Lathrop and Debbie Nichols, and Uncle Merle Neil.
He is survived by his sisters, Denise Neil of Oklahoma City, and Diana Snow and husband Dave of Tulsa, Grandmother Betty Parker of Grove, Aunt Rebecca Stewart of Monkey Island, Greg Neil of Claremore, and numerous beloved cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held at Thomas-Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch, Oklahoma, on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Services will be held at Welch Christian Church on Tuesday June 23, 2026, at 10:00 am. Pastor Greg Highsmith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery.
