Robert A. "Bob" Morrison Jr.'s Obituary
Robert A. “Bob” Morrison Jr. , 92, a former Miami resident passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center. Bob was born on August 1, 1921 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Robert A. Sr. and Cordelia (Campbell) Morrison. He graduated from Miami High School with the class of 1939 and then from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Morrison served in the Army Med Corp in World War II; he worked as an engineer for Crane and B.F. Goodrich then entered the private oil business. Bob loved history especially of the oil business, he like to read and OU Football. Mr. Morrison is preceded in passing by his parents Robert and Cordelia Morrison his wife Martha (Hilliard) Morrison and his brother Fredrick Morrison.
Survivors include his children Sarah Lomax, Robert Morrison and Fredrick Russell Morrison, Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services are 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Miami with Reverend Matthew Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
