Robert F. "Bob" Glover's Obituary
Robert F. “Bob” Glover, a long time Picher resident passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. Glover was born on May 9, 1938 in Picher to Benjamin and Helen (Farris) Glover. He graduated from Picher High School with the Class of 1958. Mr. Glover married the love of his life, Anna Lue Anderson in Picher on November 27, 1958. Bob served in the United States Army Reserve where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He started working for Newell Coach in 1969 and retired there in 1996. He worked as a supervisor on the finish line. They moved to Grand Lake in 1984 where he took full advantage of living on the lake. He was a very active bass fisherman; he participated in numerous tournaments throughout the United States. Bob was preceded in passing by his parents Benjamin and Helen Glover, his wife of fifty-two years, Anna Lue Glover and two brothers Gene Glover and Jack Glover.
Mr. Glover’s surviving family members are Eric Glover and his wife, Tina of Brentwood, Tennessee, Dennis Glover and his wife, Sherry of Norman, his grandchildren Zac Glover, Haleigh Benfield and her husband, Clay, Cody Glover and his wife, Katrina and Jacy Glover along with three great grandsons Wesley Glover, Cruz Glover and Reid Benfield.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Miami.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Cooper Memorial Chapel at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami with Reverend Bob Brock officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami.
Casketbearers will be Zac Glover, Cody Glover, Clay Benfield, Max Glover, Rex Glover and Jason Anderson.
