Rickey Lee Curry's Obituary
Rickey Lee Curry, 69, of rural Welch, OK, passed away Wednesday, June 28th , 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK after an illness. He was born August 12th, 1947 in Claremore, OK to Delmar Curry and Effie (Brown) Curry. Ricky was a hardworking man, making his living as a heavy equipment operator and as a truck driver. He was also a mechanic who could fix anything he set out to fix. He also loved movies and car races. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 children, Tracy, Michele, and Rickey Curry; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his partner of 21 years, Sandra Arnold of the home; 1 daughter, Sondra Cherry of Tulsa; 1 son, Roger Curry of Tulsa; 1 sister, Sue Moss of Chelsea; 1 brother, Jerry Meeks of Foyil; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service remembering Rickey will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Walker Cemetery, west of Welch.
