Richard D White's Obituary
Richard Dale White, Sr, 81, of Miami, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Richard was born January 18, 1931, to Victor and Celia White in Seattle, Washington. He married Patsy (Clendennen) White on October 18, 1952. Richard served four years in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He worked 34 years for B.F. Goodrich in Los Angeles, California and Miami. While in Los Angeles, Richard served several years as president of his local union. After his retirement from B.F. Goodrich, he spent time working for Willow Crest Hospital in Miami. Richard gave his time generously as a foster parent for 32 years. Richard is survived by his wife Patsy, of the home; five children, Richard White Jr. and wife Judy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. ; Derrell White and wife Gina of Miami ; Steve White of Miami ; Robert White of DeBary, Florida ; and Kimberly Graham and husband Tom of Broken Arrow ; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Richard was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who will be greatly missed and always respected by friends, family, and colleagues.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church Chapel in Miami with Minister Jerad Joslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami under the direction of the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami.
