Richard Lee Roberts' Obituary
Richard Lee Roberts, 83, a resident of North Miami, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. Mr. Roberts was born in Picher, Oklahoma to Grover Wallace “Toby” and Mildred Louise (Revels) Roberts on September 17, 1941. Richard graduated from Commerce High School before entering the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon Richard’s honorable discharge he returned to the area and started building cabinets. He also worked as a security guard at Shangri-la for years. He continued to enjoy his wood working and his Corvette. Richard was a Kansas City Chiefs and OU Sooners fan. Mr. Roberts was preceded in passing by his parents Toby and Mildred Roberts, and one sister Rhonda Crow.
Survivors include his two children Kevin Lee Roberts and his wife Tina of Owasso and Kelly Bunce and her husband Amos of Miami, his grandchildren Aaron Roberts and his wife Le, Eric Roberts and his wife Katelyn, Haylee Roberts, Marcus Bunce and his wife Michelle, Kamrie Sullivan and her husband Derek and Trevor Bunce, along with his great grandchildren Macy Roberts, Megan Roberts, Hope Roberts, Isaiah Vantleven, Kaydence Bunce, Heath Sullivan, Aubree Sullivan, Clayton Bunce, Aleigha Sullivan and Easton Bunce.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Wall officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
