Richard Franklin Johnson's Obituary
Richard Franklin Johnson, 68, of rural Welch, Okla., passed away at his home on August 6th, 2020, after a sudden illness. He was born October 1st, 1951 in Chetopa, Kans. to Clarence Johnson and Jahazy (Lee) Johnson.
He attended public school through the tenth grade, and later in life, completed his GED. On June 14, 1970, he married the love of his life, Nancy Triebel. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. They lived on the family farm northeast of Welch where they raised their children. Richard took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and in his farming and ranching activities.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Nolan Johnson; and a daughter, Sarah Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of the home; two sons, Raylon Johnson of Richmond, VA, and Waylon Johnson of Welch; a daughter, Cheryl Hanson of Carl Junction, MO; siblings, Carl, Joe, Ray, Mildred, Viola, Orpha, Annie, Janice, and Vicie; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Richard's wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
