Ransom Paul Jameson, III's Obituary
Ransom Paul "Randy" Jameson, III, 66, of rural Bluejacket, Okla., passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was born October 6, 1953 in Miami, Okla. to Ransom Paul Jameson, II and Lois (Arnold) Jameson. They precede him in death.
Randy was a graduate of Bluejacket High School. He attended NEO A&M College in Miami where he received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and began his law enforcement career with the Miami Police Department. He furthered his education in Criminal Justice at Missouri Southern where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree.
After a few years of service, Randy decided to follow his dream of being a truck driver, later returning to law enforcement. He worked for Chetopa Police Department for one year, until an opening was available with the Vinita Police Department. In 1992, he returned to the Miami Police Department where he remained serving the community until retiring at the rank of Detective in 2006.
Randy had a love for motorcycles, traveling, playing the guitar and roping. He also loved riding horses and often used his horses to pull his buggy into town. He was a member of the Miami F.O.P. Lodge #121.
He leaves a legacy of love to his son, Rod Jameson and wife Jocelyn of Carl Junction, MO; 1 daughter, Jayme Frantz and husband Jeremy of Commerce, OK; 1 brother, Danny Jameson and wife Debbie of Miami, OK; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of friends.
Randy's Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch.
