Penny Joann Howard's Obituary
Penny Joann Howard, 76, of rural Welch, OK, passed away early Saturday morning, October the 5th, 2024 at her home, surrounded by family, after a long illness.
She was born May the 4th, 1948 in Manitou Springs, CO to Faye (Brammick) Orfield.
Penny was married to Gerry Howard for 56 years until his passing. She was a longtime resident of Commerce and Miami before moving to Welch a few months ago. She worked as a waitress for many years at the Rancho Café, Lil Café, and Dicks Sports Bar.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved quilting, crocheting, sewing, crafting, baking, tending to her pets, and watching her favorite television shows.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a grandson, Kody Waters.
She is survived by six children, Tonya Johnston and husband Loren of Welch, Elizabeth Rader and husband Kevin of Bloomington, IN, Crystal Nichols and husband David of Dewey, OK, Gary Howard, Jr. and wife Greta of Commerce, OK, Jennifer Rhodes and husband Dustin of Miami, and Alicia Howard of Yakima, WA; two siblings, Cheri and Tracy, both of Colorado Springs, CO; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held.
