Peggy Deloris Luman's Obituary
Peggy Deloris Luman, 81, a longtime Chetopa, KS resident, passed away Sunday morning, April the 12th, 2026, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her family.
She was born December the 16th, 1944, in Lacrosse, ID to Loyal and Lilly (Price) Reynolds.
On October the 14th, 1961, she married the love of her life, Carrol Lumen in a ceremony in Lewiston, ID. They shared 65 wonderful years together.
For several years, Peggy worked at the Chetopa State Bank. In 1977, she and Carrol opened Luman Laboratory in Chetopa, a business that still operates today. She deeply loved her family. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, reading, and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons, John Francis Luman and Jareld Luman; and three siblings, Bill, Paul, and Janine.
She is survived by her husband, Carrol, of the home; two daughters, Penny Warwick and husband Stuart, and Holly Luman, all of Chetopa; four grandchildren, Talia, Jesse, Anna, and Sophie; three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was entrusted to the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch for cremation. No formal service will be held.
