Pauline Davis' Obituary
Betty Pauline Davis, 92, a longtime resident of rural Welch, Okla., passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at Higher Call Nursing Home.
Pauline was born September 16, 1928 in rural Welch to William Floyd and Freda Elizabeth (Davis) Coats. On September 16, 1950, she married the love of her life, Bert Davis, Jr. in a ceremony in Miami. They made their home northeast of Welch where they had a farming and ranching operation, BD Brangus, for many years.
After Bert passed away on April 17, 1999, she continued to live on the farm where she enjoyed gardening, canning her vegetables, and making crafts and necklaces. She was a member of the Welch Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxillary.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a niece, Debbie Coats.
She is survived by two children, Kathy Greer and husband David, and Steve Davis and wife Vicki, all of rural Welch; a brother, Marvin Coats and wife Geneva of Grove; two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister in law, Elsie Davis; and one niece.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021, at the Williams Timberhill Cemetery, east of Welch. Pastor Stephen Hunter will officiate.
