Patti Lynn Mullins' Obituary
Patti Lynn Mullins, a longtime Miami resident passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home, she was sixty-four. Patti was born November 22, 1954 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Glenn and Carlene (Gaither) Hensley. She graduated from Commerce High School with the Class of 1973. She married Rex Mullins on March 20, 1976 in Miami. Patti was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce. Mrs. Mullins worked at Glenberry’s, Marvin’s Bakery and most recently at Wal-Mart. Early on she and Rex did crafts together; she sewed doll clothes for her daughter Tracie. Patti loved to spend time with her family and friends and had gotten really good at spoiling her granddaughter. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in passing by her father Glenn Hensley a brother Tim Hensley and a nephew Eric Hensley.
Survivors include her husband of forty-two years Rex Mullins of the home, her mother Carlene Hensley of Miami, her daughter Tracie (Mullins) Rion and her husband Aaron of Oswego and her son Aaron Mullins and his wife Chloe of Miami, two brothers Jerry Hensley and his wife Diane of Tulsa, Mike Hensley and his wife Judy of Miami, her granddaughter Kenzie Rion along with her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Commerce with Reverend Steve Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Gary Shadwick, Randy Wilkins, Eric Thurman, Pat Sill, Steve Maxson and Tyler Perry.
