Patricia J. “Pat” Ware passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 in Miami. She was 82.
Mrs. Ware was born September 14, 1927 in Joplin, Missouri to Harrison “Hass” and Bonona “Bennie” (Montgomery) Watkins. She spent her childhood in Mansfield, Arkansas and moved to Miami with her family when she was a teenager. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Miami, and attended regularly since moving to Miami. She was a cook for sixteen years for Nichols, Will Rogers and Washington Schools. Over the years she loved caring for her rat terriers, Muffin, Kewpie and Boomer. She enjoyed watching OU football and the Green Bay Packers when Brett Favre played. She loved collecting toys, trinkets, and yard ornaments and landscaping her yard with flowers.
She married Granville Paul Ware on January 5, 1945 in Midland, Texas. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include 2 daughters, Paula Coombes and her husband Mike, and Cathy Ware-Alexander and her husband Troy, all of Miami; Seventeen Grandchildren and Twenty One Great-Grandchildren, which were all dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rosalee Reese.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Chapel, Miami. Pastor Rick Longcrier will officiate.
