Norma C. Johnson's Obituary
Norma C. Johnson, 87, of rural Welch, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at Chetopa Manor in Chetopa, KS after a long illness. Norma was born in Melrose, KS on September 9, 1927 to John S. McGill and Margaret (Burnside) McGill. She worked for Deluxe Printing in Kansas City for a number of years along with being a full time homemaker. She was member of the First Christian Church in Kansas City, KS. She loved to play the guitar and sing. Her most favorite hobby was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lawrence Johnson, and one daughter, Mary Massey. Norma is survived by eight sons, John F. Johnson of Warsaw, MO, Alvie Johnson Jr. of Amoret, MO, Alvine L. Johnson of Welch, OK, Stephen Johnson of Poteau, OK, Kevin D. Johnson of Sadler, TX, Dwayne E. Johnson of Welch, OK, Darrel D. Johnson of Welch, OK and Calvin E. Johnson of Welch, OK; three daughters, Margaret Ann George of Parson, KS, Barbara J. Pease of Locust Grove, OK, and Lois M. Durbin of Adrian, MO; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Norma's request was that no services be held. Her family is honoring her request.
