Norma Jean Dixon's Obituary
Former Vinita resident, Norma Jean Dixon, 79, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Heartsworth Center for Nursing in Vinita. She was born February 9, 1938 in Canyon City, CO to Elmer John Fenimore and Mildred Irene (Posey) Fenimore. She was a graduate of Oilton High School. Norma worked as a telephone operator for AT&T and SW Bell in Tulsa for many years. She later retired as a Certified Nurse Aide. She was an avid cook and enjoyed watching sports. She is survived by 1 daughter, Debra Nixon and husband Robert of Claremore; 1 sister, Freda LaCrosse of Yale, OK; 3 grandchildren, Cole Spencer, Monica Wilkins, and Ciarra Roe; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore. Pastor Fred Nixon will officiate.
